Almir Limaj (actor) was born in Pristina (Kosovo) and ever since he has been living a nomadic life moving from place to place. Almir lived in Istanbul (Turkey), Lousville (KY), and has finally found a place that suits him best… for now … Chicago (IL). Almir is pursuing a career in acting; he is a graduate from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Theatre, concentration in Acting. Went to University of Louisville before transferring to Columbia College. Almir is a trained stage and on-camera actor who is working regularly as on actor on stage and in film.
His most recent appearances in films were in “Factory of Lies” by Hamzah Jamjoom, which premiered at the 9th. Dubai International Film Festival along with the Gulf Film Festival, and “The Defiled” by Julian Grant, which played at many great festivals including Chicago International Film Festival. A DVD copy of “The Defiled” can now be purchased on Amazon.com and iTunes.
Almir has also appeared in a couple of award winning short films, “Squashed Noodles” for best acting, audience award, best film, and best directing, and “Roomie” for an audience award. On his free time Almir likes to play guitar for his own pleasure and watch movies and his favorite T.V. shows. He is especially a big fan of Italian, French new wave, and film noirs. He loves tea.
